Kindly follow these steps to register for Nigerian international E-passport and also track the progress online

  1. Visit the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) website: Go to the official website of the Nigeria Immigration Service at www.immigration.gov.ng.
  2. Create an account: Look for the “Passport” section on the website and create an account if you don’t already have one. You’ll need to provide your email address and create a password.
  3. Complete the application form: Log in to your account and fill out the e-passport application form. You’ll need to provide personal information such as your full name, date of birth, place of birth, contact details, and other relevant information.
  4. Pay the application fee: Once you’ve completed the application form, you’ll be required to pay the e-passport application fee. The fee can vary depending on the type of passport and processing time you choose.
  5. Book an appointment: After payment, you will need to schedule an appointment at a Nigerian Immigration office or passport processing center. Select a convenient date and time for your appointment.
  6. Attend the appointment: On the scheduled date, visit the designated Nigerian Immigration office or passport processing center with the necessary documents. These documents may include your application printout, payment receipt, birth certificate, proof of citizenship, and other supporting documents. It’s advisable to check the NIS website or contact them directly for the specific documents required.
  7. Biometric capture and processing: At the appointment, your biometric data, including fingerprints and a passport photograph, will be captured. Your application will then be processed by the Nigeria Immigration Service.
To track the progress of your Nigerian international passport application online, you can follow these steps:
  1. Visit the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) website: Go to the official website of the Nigeria Immigration Service at www.immigration.gov.ng.
  2. Locate the passport application tracking section: Look for the “Passport” section on the website. There should be an option to track your passport application status. It may be labeled as “Passport Application Status” or something similar.
  3. Enter your application details: Provide the required information to track your passport application. This typically includes your application reference number or application ID, as well as your date of birth or other identifying information.
  4. Check your application status: Submit the information and wait for the system to retrieve your application details. The website should then display the current status of your passport application, such as “In progress,” “Dispatched for printing,” or “Ready for collection.”
  5. Follow up if necessary: If you have any concerns or need further assistance regarding your passport application, note any contact information provided on the website or consider reaching out to the Nigeria Immigration Service directly. They may have additional instructions or guidance to help you.
  6. Collect your e-passport: After processing, you’ll be informed when your e-passport is ready for collection. You’ll need to return to the Nigerian Immigration office or passport processing center to pick up your passport in person. Ensure you bring the necessary identification and any receipts or documents provided during the application process.
